Daniel Lanero Táboas (Vigo, 1977). I am Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Santiago de Compostela and Researcher of the HISTAGRA Group and the Inter-University Research Centre for Cultural Atlantic Landscapes (CISPAC).

I am currently working on public housing policies in Spain during the 20th century; the agrarian modernisation of the Iberian Peninsula in the second half of the 20th century and the history of rural medicine.

My research interests include the Social History of the Rural World, the Comparative History of Fascism and Agrarian History, with a special focus on Francoism, the transition to democracy in Spain and the Portuguese Estado Novo.

I have carried out research stays at the Universities of Lisbon, Bologna, King's College, the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Maryland.
