I work as a geography and history teacher and secretary (secondment) at the CFA Esparreguera adult education centre, in the town of the same name. Since 2020 I have been a career civil servant with a permanent post at the Institut Joan Oró in Martorell.

During the academic year 2006-2007 I took the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Contemporary History and presented the Master's Thesis A sociedade de Monforte de Lemos na segunda metade do século XIX: demografía e estrutura socioprofesional nos anos noventa, directed by Justo Beramendi. In 2012 I published an article in the journal Murguía (Monforte de Lemos a finais do XIX: un achegamento á estrutura socioprofesional e ás clases sociais).

I am currently working on a comparative thesis between Sant Feliu de Llobregat and Monforte de Lemos at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The aspects I am working on are the following: a study of the professions through the census, analysis of the Galician and Catalan urban society from the census and the industrial registrations, study of the population and its evolution, growth and expansion of the city, a study of the political mobilisation and social conflict at local level, the infrastructures and public services and cultural behaviour of the modern society.
