Alberto González Remuiñán (A Coruña, 1988) holds a degree in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela, specialising in modern and contemporary history (USC, 2011). He completed an Interuniversity Master's Degree in Contemporary History (2012) and a University Master's Degree in Teaching, specialising in Social Sciences and Humanities (2013) at the same university.

He participated in several research projects with the HISTAGRA Group and in December 2019 defended his thesis, entitled ‘A agricultura das antigas provincias de Betanzos e Coruña na crise do Antigo Réxime segundo o catastro de Martín de Garay (1750-1820)’ (Agriculture in the former provinces of Betanzos and Coruña during the crisis of the Old Regime according to the cadastre of Martín de Garay (1750-1820)), for which he received a grade of summa cum laude.

His lines of research focus on the socio-economic changes and transformations of rural societies at the end of the Old Regime, the state of agriculture, finance and social conflict in this period, for the area of the mariñas and arco ártabro, A Coruña-Betanzos-Pontedeume. He is currently working on the CENOMI project at the USC
