Natalia Jorge Pereira (Tomiño, 1982) holds an international PhD in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2024) with the thesis Actitudes y Comportamientos sociales en los ayuntamientos fronterizos de Tomiño y Cerveira ante las dictaduras de Franco y Salazar en la década de 1940, which achieved cum laudem.

His work focuses on the border, smuggling, emigration, identity, conflict and the behaviour of border communities.

 

Among her works we highlight the edition of Siñor Afranio ou como me rispei das zarpas da morte by Antón Alonso Ríos (2019) or Abaixo as ditaduras by Josefa García Segret (2023). She has recently been awarded the Xohana Torres Prize in the category of essay and research with the work Formigueiro de mulleres. As trapicheiras do Miño (2024).
