New HISTAGRA Seminar: Cecilia Díaz-Mendez: Food Model

HISTAGRA organises a new Seminar at CISPAC: Transformations and ruptures in the Spanish food model

 

 

On Thursday 23 February, the HISTAGRA Group, in collaboration with CISPAC, is organising the seminar Transformations and ruptures in the Spanish food model, which will be given by Cecilia Díaz-Mendez, sociologist and specialist in consumption and food, professor at the University of Oviedo.

 

Continuing with the seminar programme, on this occasion the HISTAGRA Group will address the sociology of consumption and food by one of the leading specialists on the subject, Cecilia Díaz-Mendez, a lecturer at the University of Oviedo.

 

Díaz-Mendez was one of the architects of the National Food Habits Survey (Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, 2013), applying her knowledge to social studies, such as those on Food in Times of Crisis carried out for the Spanish Red Cross with the support of the Alimerka Foundation (2014) or the UNICEF Asturias report in 2015.
