Alba Garrido Fernández (Ourense, 1997) graduated in History (2020) and Master in Contemporary History (2021) at the University of Santiago de Compostela and Master in Secondary Education at the University of Vigo, in Ourense (2022). His early research revolved around the Republican exile and the trajectories and life experiences of Galicians deported to concentration camps in Nazi Germany. 

He is currently studying for a PhD in the Contemporary History Programme of the USC with a doctoral thesis on the Resistance to the 1936 coup d'état in Galicia.

He also collaborated in the project of the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory: "Definition, mapping and proposed intervention on the places of memory of the 1936 coup, the Franco dictatorship and the Resistance", directed by HISTAGRA member Antonio Miguez Macho.
