HISTAGRA welcomes two new PhD students in 2023

Research students Chiara Vacirca from the University of Salento and Elisa Bosisio from the University of Roma Tre will spend 2023 at the HISTAGRA Group, supervised by researcher Stefania Barca.

The work will be carried out at CISPAC, specifically in the line of Producing Landscapes.

Chiara Vacirca studies political ecology related to agrarian, economic and rural transition issues. Her field of study is related to that of the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory Programme and Eo Alimenta, both of which are run by HISTAGRA.

Elisa Bosisio will delve into the study of explicitly feminist economic-political strategies capable of bringing together the monetary restitution and symbolic-political recognition of the invisible work of racialised and feminised human subjectivities that carry out care work for otherness and environments, with the restitution and recognition of non-human othernesses that in turn 'work' for the continuous regeneration of mundane living conditions.
