HISTAGRA Researcher Xurxo Antelo participates in CISPAC's Theses in Discussion Cycle

 

On Tuesday 13 December at 10:30 am, HISTAGRA researcher Xurxo Antelo Alvite will present his thesis project "Political clientelism and local power in the Galician rural world during the democratic transition" as part of CISPAC's Theses in Discussion series.

 

Prior to this, CISPAC researcher Nuria Romero Vidal (09:30h) will do the same with the ongoing research "From tree to object. Archaeological, anthropological and archaeobotanical study of the material culture in wood from Gunayala (Panama)".

 

Both presentations will take place at the CISPAC House (Fontán Building, 2nd floor).

 

About Xurxo Antelo

Xurxo Antelo Alvite (Outes, 1996), is a graduate in Political Science and Administration (2018) and Master in Contemporary History (2019) at the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a stay at the Universidad César Vallejo (2017; Peru).

 

She is currently working on her doctoral thesis in Contemporary History at the USC, research in which she addresses the study of elites and political clientelism in the Transition to democracy in Galicia, focusing on the patrimonial uses of political power from a local and ruralist perspective.
