Publication of the report ‘Just Transition and Care: An International Survey’
The report ‘Just Transition and Care: An International Survey’ will be launched on 20 November from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CET via Zoom.
The report, which was drafted by an international academic team coordinated by HISTAGRA-CISPAC researcher Stefania Barca and published by the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), will be available for download in PDF format on the UNRISD website on the day of the launch.
The document represents the final outcome of a collaborative effort by the International Network for Just Transition and Care, with the participation of members from 17 organisations in 12 countries, including trade unions, associations and social movements, representing workers in different types of care, both paid and unpaid.
The report consists of an introduction entitled ‘The centrality of care work for a just transition’ and five chapters. Each chapter is a separate report dedicated to a just transition in one of the five dimensions of paid and unpaid care work: domestic and community care; food supply; environmental care; health; education.
Following the event on 20 November, five specific webinars, in several languages, will be dedicated to exploring each of these dimensions in detail.
