Agricultural History Review Essay Competition

In 2012 Agricultural History Review will publish its sixtieth volume. In recognition of this achievement the British Agricultural History Society is sponsoring an prize essay competition, the winners of which will see their essays published in the Review. Three prizes will be available. The competition is open to younger rural historians working in any aspect of rural history internationally. One prize will be reserved for an essay dealing with the rural history of the world outside Britain and Ireland.

The competition is open to rural historians at the beginning of their careers or rural historians who have not, and do not, hold an academic position. For details of eligibility, and the procedures involved in making a submission, please see the Societys website at www.bahs.org.uk.

The closing date for submissions is 30 September 2011.
