Summary: The aims of the project: a) Analyze the concept of honor and the relationship established between this code of values ​​and the figure of the monarch, within the nationalizing dynamics of the monarchy. b) Define the characters of the military code of honor and the meaning that the army gave to virility in the national identity, as well as their convergences and divergences with the concept. c) Investigate how the appearance of a new media and editorial regime, with the appearance of innumerable journalistic headlines and the multiplication of the publication of books and brochures, had an impact on the projection of the code of honor, and make the study extensible to the professional activities of the elites. d) Investigate the practices of the male honor code as evidence of the convictions and guidelines acquired in the process of socialization of men. e) Analyze the representations of honor in cultural events.
