Vicenzo Barra (Avellino , 1977) is PhD in “Storia dell’Europa mediterranea dall’antichità all’età contemporanea”(Italy, 2006) and in Contemporary History at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain, 2020); Professor of Contemporary History at Università Telematica Pegaso (Naples), he has dealt with the history of the provincial institutions and the local ruling classes of the Italian Mezzogiorno in the liberal and fascist era, until the referendum of 2 June 1946. His research focused on the comparative history of the liberal Spanish system of the Bourbon Restoration and the Italian system since the fall of the Destra Storica. His line of research also includes the study of how daily life was "archived" and represented in the egodocuments, especially through the study of the epistolaries with a micro-historical approach.
