HISTAGRA researchers Rafael García and Conchi López win the IV Hume Prize for Historical Research of As Pontes with their work, Violence in the Coup and the Galician rearguard. The Municipality of As Pontes, 1936-1939



On this occasion, the jury valued the investigation "very well written and very well built", with "much information" on "repression and the Civil War in the locality".



This is an unpublished investigation that deals with the period of the coup d'etat of 1936 and how it was developed in the rear. To arrive here, the authors reflect in the award-winning text the political tendencies and the social movement that was in As Pontes during the Second Republic, putting it in relation to events beyond the town hall.
